ANTI-STALKING- Canada:

The laws in Canada are very specific when it comes to Stalking and Harassment.

In Canada, section 264 of the Canadian Criminal Code is very specific pertaining to persons
who are not of lawful authority, watching, following, besetting or harassing others.

The unfortunate part is that the Police do not have the time or the manpower to enforce
"COURT ORDERS" which leaves the victim alone to fend for themselves or possible fall
prey to the "STALKER".

Golden West's " ANTI-STALKING TEAM "is another avenue that may be implemented
to provide peace of mind and gather evidence of the breach of the court order.

Once the evidence has been compiled, it can be turned over to the appropriate authorities who
can then act upon it as per the Criminal Code.

SECTION 264ccc. (CRIMINAL HARASSMENT) ie: STALKING
Any person who contravenes this section is guilty of an
indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term
not exceeding five years.

SECTION 264.1ccc. (UTTERING THREATS)

INCLUDES : IN ANY MANNER, KNOWINGLY UTTERS, CONVEYS OR CAUSES
ANY PERSON TO RECEIVE A THREAT:
a) to cause death or serious bodily harm to any person;
b) to burn, destroy or damage real or personal property or;
c) to kill, poison or injure an animal or bird that is the
property of any person.

A: PUNISHABLE BY IMPRISONMENT NOT EXCEEDING FIVE YEARS
B: PUNISHABLE BY IMPRISONMENT NOT EXCEEDING TWO YEARS
C: PUNISHABLE BY IMPRISONMENT NOT EXCEEDING TWO YEARS
